The Ministry of Youth Development (MYD) – Te Manatū Whakahiato Taiohi – spends around $12.062 million per year on a wide range of youth development and youth enterprise initiatives. We fund organisations that employ a youth development approach which supports the wellbeing of young people (aged 12 to 24 years) in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Current MYD Funding Opportunities

A Request for Proposal and associated Frequently Asked Questions regarding Building Entrepreneurial Capital Fund (Financial Year 2026/2027) open tender have been published on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) external website. We’re seeking proposals for youth enterprise programmes delivered to young people aged 15-24 years in the Dunedin, and/or Clutha, and/or Waitaki Districts only. Applications close at 5.00pm on Wednesday 25 March 2026.
