Youth Voices - Consultation Reports

The Ministry of Youth Development (MYD) - Te Manatū Whakahiato Taiohi consulted with young people on a range of issues in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Consultations were initiated by MYD and/or in conjunction with another government agency to inform them on initiatives and policies affecting young people.

The feedback included in the following consultation reports are the voices of the young people involved, and do not necessarily reflect the Ministry of Youth Development's views.


2011

The “Northland Youth Voices” project was commissioned by the Northland Intersectoral Forum (NIF) to provide information that would help it deliver on its strategic priority of realising youth potential.

A report summarising two months of discussions, including 106 posts made by 53 members, from the community of 154 registered users has been released.

2010

University Entrance changes consultation for the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.

This report provides an analysis of the findings from a survey and forum with young people in response to the Canterbury earthquake.

This research was conducted by the National Research Bureau on behalf of the Ministry of Youth Development. The report provides us with an insight into the interests and concerns of young people aged from 12 - 24 years old.
