YOUTH WEEK 08 runs from 26 May to 1 June and focuses on supportive relationships with young people. Youth Week is coordinated by New Zealand Aotearoa Adolescent Health and Development (NZAAHD) with support from the Ministry of Youth Development and other organisations.
Youth Week will be launched on Monday 26 May from 5.00-7.00pm at Pataka
Museum and Gallery, corner Norrie and Parumoana Streets, Porirua. The
programme features speeches by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Mayor
of Porirua, and entertainment by young local talent. The event has been
organised by the Ministry of Youth Development with support from
NZAAHD, Wesley Community Action and Porirua City Council. All welcome.

Schools Plus is the government’s policy aimed at lifting young people’s
participation and achievement in education and training. The Ministry
of Youth Development is ensuring young people have input into Schools
