Learn about the work of the Ministry of Youth Development - Te Manatū Whakahiato Taiohi

The Ministry of Youth Development - Te Manatū Whakahiato Taiohi encourages and supports young people, aged between 12 and 24 years, to develop and use knowledge, skills, and experiences to participate confidently in their communities.

What's New

Welcome to our refreshed website! We worked closely with the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) – Te Manatū Whakahiato Ora IST, Design, and Digital Accessibility teams to deliver this new look website and updated logo! We needed to move to a new hosting platform as the old one was no longer meeting business requirements and was approaching end-of-life.

As the current MYD website design and imagery was dated, and the website itself lacked a high degree of functionality and responsiveness, with multiple usability and accessibility issues, a ‘lift and shift’ approach wasn’t possible and so a refresh of the website was required.

A huge shout out to our MSD colleagues for all the stellar work they’ve contributed towards bringing the refreshed MYD website to life – we’re proud to call it ours!
