MYD Enterprise Funding Available

27 February 2018

Can you develop young people's enterprise skills?

MYD is on the lookout for quality youth development opportunities that have an enterprise focus. If you are a New Zealand registered organisation working with young people, and you have the capacity and capability to assist them to develop enterprise skills, you may be able to apply for funding.

When we talk about enterprise skills, we’re referring to an approach to learning and development, as well as gaining skills and experiences towards creating a business, or becoming an entrepreneurial employee, an innovator, a creator or disruptor.

By developing enterprise skills, rangatahi are developing skills and attributes such as:

  • Negotiation and influence
  • Creative and innovative thinking
  • Problem solving
  • Critical thinking
  • Communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Basic financial literacy
  • Business skills (e.g. budgeting, marketing)
  • Teamwork

Your initiative may be a short-term pilot to be delivered by 30 June 2018, or if you have a more comprehensive programme that could be delivered by 30 June 2019, get in touch!
