Take the Lead competition

Tell your leadership story and WIN TWO DOUBLE MOVIE PASSES!

With Leadership Week around the corner, Aotearoa Youth Voices is running a short competition to showcase young people who ‘take the lead' in different ways in their community.

Tell us your story (no more than 200 words) about where you ‘took the lead' in your community for the chance to win double movie passes! You can enter in the following ways:

  • Post your story on our MYD Facebook page - search ‘Ministry of Youth Development' in the Facebook search bar
  • send us your story via mail to: Take the Lead competition, Ministry of Youth Development

  • email us your story to mydinfo@myd.govt.nz 

Competition entries must be in by 23 June 2011. Entries received through MYD Facebook page, post and email will be validated based on the following:

Your story:

  • is no more than 200 words
  • displays a willingness to help others
  • makes a difference in other young peoples lives
  • shows initiative
  • shows an ability to mobilise others
  • displays an ability to recognise a problem and then act on resolving that problem
  • displays the traits of a role model in their community.

All valid entries (including entries received by post and email) will be posted on our MYD Facebook page 27 June 2011. The two entries that receive the most ‘likes' up to 4pm, 30 June 2011 will win double movie passes!

Note:
To enter, you need to be a member of the Aotearoa Youth Voices network (sign up online at https://www.myd.m1.co.nz/subscribe.aspx). Become an AYV member and tell your story!
If you enter via email, please ensure you have included your full name in the email.
Facebook users will ultimately decide the winners of the competition after entries have been validated.
By entering this competition you are providing the Ministry of Youth Development with permission to use your story entry for any future web and publication use.
