Prime Minister’s Youth Programme

The Prime Minister's Youth Programme is to reward and foster achievement for young people between 14 - 17 years old who have overcome adversity and made a substantial attempt to make positive life changes.

The Prime Minister's Youth Programme is designed to foster and celebrate achievement for young people between 14 - 17 years old who have overcome adversity and made a sustained attempt to make positive life changes. For example, young people who have moved away from low levels of offending, truancy or poor academic performance.

One hundred young people are given the opportunity to learn from high achieving New Zealanders in one of four structured week-long programmes.
