Asia Youth Exchange program in Okinawa

The "Asia Youth Exchange program in Okinawa" is a new and exciting exchange program set up and sponsored by the Government of Japan with the aim of giving young people an opportunity to discover new experiences and develop their innovative skills.

The program will span over 3 weeks (6 – 27 August 2008) during summer in Okinawa, a group of Islands surrounded by coral-reefs located between Japan and Taiwan, and will focus on environmental issues which our planet currently faces. Students are expected to discuss the ways in which these issues may be dealt with and will be given the opportunity to take part in discussions with top-ranking scientists. To be eligible to participate, you must be 15 -17 years of age (as of 1 August 2008) and be registered in a secondary school.
