An issue I feel strongly about:
An issue which concerns me is consumerism. The youth of today are
given expectations of the norm through the media. This causes
their self esteem to plummet as they realise they don’t fit the desired
‘package’. To remedy this they feel obliged to alter themselves
through consumer items. This more often than not means trying to
alter the very person they are, going beyond the morals and beliefs
they once held.
