An issue I feel strongly about:
I am a Year 13 student at Wellington College, and I have two main
passions: debating and tramping. My tendency to be constantly in a
debate means attending Youth Parliament will be an experience I will cherish.
I enjoy volunteer work with the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary and I work
radio-tracking kiwi in the Orongorongo range with the Rimutaka Forest
Park Trust. My love of the outdoors has made me a passionate
conservationist and it is, as such, a dream to represent the values and
policies of the Green Party of Aotearoa. I am keen to see the Youth
Parliament make a clear moral stand against the present Government's
apathy towards the problems within the NCEA. I would also like to see
student debt be properly addressed, and climate change become
recognised as a problem we have to deal with rather than simply talk
about.
