About Me - Youth Parliament 2007
I’m an 18 year-old first-year at the NZ Broadcasting School in
Christchurch but am Wellington bred and to be honest my heart still
lies there. I am passionate about social justice, equal
opportunity and general respect for all citizens throughout NZ and the
world. I’m a keen sports fanatic, however as my playing abilities
don’t match my love of the game I now referee rugby as opposed to play
it. At least I’m always on the winning team now. I’m also a
Hurricanes man through the good times and the bad – it’s fair to say
2007 has been quite the rollercoaster ride.
As a journalist in training I take much care over producing work that
is objective and tells all sides of the story. Politics is very
much the same – you just have to ensure your side of the story is
stronger and in the best interests of your constituents. I keep a
strong hold on youth issues and hope to serve my peers to the best of
my ability in Youth Parliament for 2007.
