Children's toolkit
This toolkit is a practical guide for New Zealand councils on how to involve children and young people up to 25 years of age in council planning and decision-making.
It includes examples of child and youth participation exercises,
practical considerations when involving young people and tools for
involving young people.
The New Zealand Local Government Toolkit for Child and Youth
Participation was initiated in 2003 by a working group of central and
local government representatives. They were Local Government New
Zealand, the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Youth
Development and the Department of Internal Affairs.
