This is New Zealand’s second periodic report to the Committee on the Rights of the Child (the Committee) covering June 1995 to September 2000.

This report includes New Zealand’s relevant developments in law, policy and practice since its Initial Report as well as plans to improve children’s rights.

Details include legislative, judicial, administrative and other adopted measures that affect the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCROC/Convention).
