Celebrating Everyday Young New Zealanders – recognising the positive contribution of young people
Celebrating Everyday Young New Zealanders provides national recognition of the positive contribution made by young New Zealanders as part of Youth Week 08.
Celebrating Everyday Young New Zealanders, as the title suggests, does
not necessarily reward the ‘best’, ‘greatest’ or ‘highest’ achievers,
instead it promotes the many positive things young people do all around
New Zealand.
From 14 March to 2 May 2008, the Ministry led a nationwide
publicity campaign calling for people to nominate young people who have
made a positive contribution to their communities, country and/or peers.
